Dana Cooke

One of Burlington's strongest volleyball representatives, Dana was a coach of the 14U Blaze team and the captain of the Senior Ladies team during her stay with Blaze.  An All American at Michigan State, Dana followed her stellar career in college ball with a professional career in Europe, where she coached and played in the Netherlands. Upon returning to Canada, Dana became the first woman to coach the McMaster Mauraders Men's Volleyball Team.  After establishing a career as a graphic designer, Dana tried out for and caught the eye of the Canadian Beach Volleyball Association, and has been playing with Annie Martins for the last year, representing Canada in International competition.  With hopes of competing for Canada in the 2008 Summer Olympics, Dana and Annie are currently working their way up in International rankings.

Blaze will be watching to see if one of our local volleyball players gets a chance of a lifetime.
