Jade De Coste

Jade directed the 2010 - 2012 Blaze Senior Girls teams in two of the most successful years recorded for Blaze teams in these age groups.  From the position of setter, and surrounded by a very strong team, Jade led  the team to an outstanding 4th place Division 1 at the Ontario Championships for 17U girls, and the following year to the Gold Medal, Tier 1 Division 2 at the 18U level.   For her efforts on behalf of her team, Jade was presented with  the 17U Team Blaze MVP award.

At her secondary school, Westdale Collegiate in Hamilton, she gave her time to coaching the Boys' Junior Volleyball team, and received the MVP volleyball award in her final year.

As a Freshman at Nipissing University, Jade not only contributed to the team winning the OCAA Provincial medal, but received the Nipissing Captain's Award for 2012 - 2013.   Recognition also came with the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association All-Academic Award for 2013.

A student in Physical and Health Education at Nipissing, she will eventually enter a health promotion field such as nutrition or physiotherapy.  She is looking forward to Nipissing enterring the OUA in the Fall of 2013 - and - in future years would like to pursuing coaching for youth teams.
