Katie McQueen

From 2009 - 2012, Katie played on one of Blaze's most consistent and award winning teams.  First from the left side position as a 15U player, Katie found her niche in the libero position.  The team won the Gold Provincial Medal at the 15U Division, and followed with a 4th place Tier I in the 17U Division and another Gold Provincial Medal at the 18U Division 1 Tier 2 level.

In recognition of her contributions to Blaze, where both Katie and her family worked diligently on behalf of the Club, and for her efforts in developing volleyball in her community, where she coached elementary volleyball and was named MVP for 4 years at Alderhshot High School,  Katie was awarded the Blaze Mike Aquilina Scholarship.

Currently at Dalhousie University in the Faculty of Agriculture, Katie hopes to continue her studies after receiving her degree in veterinary medicine or police work in the canine unit.

Her volleyball career now centers around the Dalhousie Rams Varsity Women's Team, which she hopes to continue playing throughout her univeristy years in the ACAA.
